Why Sponsor the Westmoreland Fair?
The 2018 Westmoreland Fair was once again a tremendous success with 50,000 + people attending the fair over the 9 days even with 3 days of pouring rain, 3 days of high humidity ending with a power outage on the closing evening shortening the night at the fair to 10pm . This success is due, in part, to the support through sponsorship from local businesses such as yours.
Our 9 day fair features the best in Western Pennsylvania Agriculture, Horticulture, Home Economics, Entertainment, Food and of course, fun for ALL ages. The Westmoreland Fair also exhibits the hard work of Westmoreland County 4-H and FFA members. Your participation will benefit your business all year long with community recognition plus since the fair is a 501C3 there is the added benefit a the tax deductions.
The Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs conducted an economic study of fairs in 2013. The study showed the following results:
- 35% of ALL visitors to fairs come from other counties.
- In the last 5 years while the country and the Commonwealth have been in a serious economic recession the fair industry has shown superior staying power and tourism appeal and is nearly a $50 Million industry and is projected to grow to a $62 Million industry by 2016.
- Some of the top popular events during the fair are: Commercial Sales, Social Group Activities, Educational Events, Boat/RV/Campground sales, Cultural Exhibits and Agricultural Sales.
